Also a big shout out to our beautiful bunch of volunteers, performers, workshop facilitators and to everyone who showed up.
July 2024 saw an amazing weekend of entertainment with a bigger & wilder Big Queer Party at The OB and our first ever Trans Pride Fest at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery.
Dairy King, Rodent and Spirit Doll ruled the stage on Saturday night with The Drakes, Luc Grey and Mastolf & Mastej with interactive performance pieces.
Trans Pride Fest was a gloriously sunny sunday. Entertainment supplied by Queer Ass Folk & PMBC on the stage with workshops and demos around the building and in the grounds. The blazing heat was eased by two free swim sessions in the pool next door, a bunch of free icecreams & Three Legs Brewery who generously provided a bar.
As well as the two big events, our community worked with Cabaret Mechanical Theatre to create a Paper Protest March, donated their trans objects to the Museum of Transology’s National day of collecting, lost a football tournament with Hastings Rec and produced a ‘Proud ‘zine’ with Soof. TPH also collaborated with Home Live Art to bring Tink Flaherty’s show Benched to The Stables Theatre and worked with Drag King Orlando & the Kino to intro Paul Presciado’s film Orlando - My Political Biography.
Thanks to The National Lottery Awards For All and The Arts Council this year we raised £34,500.
